It’s time for some #MaSen madness

Ok #masen fans, it’s officially the least exciting time of year.  Now that Elizabeth Warren has finally (almost) gotten into the Senate race, it will probably be 2-3 weeks of complete quiet until after Labor Day.

So why not have some fun with this campaign?  After all, this is been a pretty silly Senate race to this point, featuring constant speculation, tons of candidates (or potential candidates), one walk across the state, one songwriter, disappointing financial reports, and now two sets of Scott Brown bobble heads.

And so I give you #MaSen Madness!  64 Democrats, two weeks of voting, one Democratic nominee, chosen by you, the political junkies!

Here’s how this will work:

I will unveil the bracket today.

Winners will be chosen by online voting, beginning Thursday at 11 a.m., right here at www.peoplesseat.com. Voting for Round One will be open Thursday through Sunday (Aug 25-28), as there are 32 match ups.  Voting for Round Two will be open from Monday-Tuesday (Aug 29-30).  Round Three will be voted on Wednesday and Thursday (Aug 31-Sept 1).  Round Four on Friday-Saturday (Sept 2-3).  The Final Four from Sunday-Tuesday (Sept 4-6), and voting for our Democratic nominee will run from Wednesday to Friday (Sept 7-9).

Aside from crowning a PeoplesSeat Nominee, there will also be a chance for readers to compete.  You can download a bracket, fill it out, and email it back to me at conor [AT] libertysquaregroup {DOT} com, or fax it (if you have a fax machine to 617.695.0144).  The top three finishers will receive some sort of prize.

I am still negotiating the TV rights with CBS and ESPN, so for now this competition will be be broadcast solely on Peoplesseat.com.

Brackets will be unveiled beginning at 12:00 p.m. today.

Get psyched.
